Dear Reader,

I started out as a High School English teacher. Then I joined the Methodist Church, and served for many years as a practicing Minister, before accepting an invitation to Duke University. While there I taught in the English Dept and was part of the faculty team that worked on what has since become known as the Reader Expectation approach to writing. I moved north to the Vineyard, where I served many years in Mass State Geriatric Program Management in Home Care and Elder Abuse.
