Holyoke CC Cougars hand the home team Warriors a pair of losses.
4/14/13
Sunday not a good day for the Warriors as the Holyoke CC Cougars took the two hour drive to the Brockton campus and handed the home team a pair of losses. In the first game it was all Holyoke's Freddy Andujar. The sophomore left hander struck out 14 Warrior hitters and only allowed seven balls to be put in play. Scott O'Brien scored the only Warrior run after walking, when he was plated by a Tyler Andrade double in the bottom of the third inning. Dave Tarr pitched well allowing only two earned runs and striking out five Cougar batters. He deserved a better fate, for his solid effort on the hill.
In the second game the Warriors kept battling back, but could not hold a one run lead they established in the fifth inning. The Cougars plated two runs in the top of the seventh inning to put the game out of reach. Tyler Andrade, Joe Walsh, Chris Adams and Ben Monteiro all had a pair of hits but that was the extent of the Warrior offense.
