NOT for publication

By Eric Norment
On November 11, 2012

For two valuable hours each week from January to May 2007, four full-time and two adjunct professors met to study and brainstorm, share their classroom successes and disasters, and their hopes and plans for making Massasoit a better experience for everyone. Originally designed to focus on alternative assessment methods, the seminar broadened to cover topics ranging from classroom management to faculty development and the future of the New England Center for Inclusive Teaching and Curriculum Change (NECIT) on campus. Our meetings, deftly organized by Tracey Schaub, were led each week by a different member who centered wide-ranging discussions on a chapter from our text, "Achieving against the Odds" (Kingston-Mann).
